Who We Are
The Essy Okenyuri Nyaituga Foundation is a charitable organization duly registered by the Non-Governmental Organizations Co-ordination Board.
The foundation collaborates with individuals, families, communities, philanthropists and other relevant stakeholders including learning institutions, community - based organizations such as women groups, men associations, youth and religious groups to improve capacity for sustainable development.
Its establishment was an idea by its founder Hon. Senator Esther Okenyuri who has had a strong desire as a leader to give back to the society by carrying out charitable and economic activities aimed at empowering the underprivileged groups in rural Kenya. Having served as an elected member of parliament, she aspires to initiate development initiatives for social-economic prosperity through the programs of this foundation..
What We Do

— Youth & Women entrepreneurship
The objective of the program is to create an empowered youth and women
to utilize and benefit from available opportunities for self-reliance and
progressive development.

— Leaders Program
The Essy Okenyuri Nyaituga Foundation Leaders program aims to Inspire the next generation of young leaders to tackle pressing challenges in their communities through nurturing them with skills and tools that will positively transform their leadership capacity to offer solutions to the pertinent challenges of our time.

— Education Bursaries
Through this program, we are able to support needy students with their education through payment of school fees. We identify and support school going children in both primary and secondary schools.

— Book Donation
We identify schools with underequipped libraries and organize for donation of books to them in order to develop their capacity to facilitate students with learning materials. We as well plan to establish digital libraries in rural schools to help learners have easy access of learning materials from across a range of E-Libraries.

— Hygiene Management
To effectively manage their menstruation, we are committed to providing quality sanitation and hygiene facilities for teenage girls and women with challenges of affording menstrual management materials in rural areas and low-income urban areas.
06.
— Medical Camps
We organize for regular medical Camps in partnership with volunteer health workers in order to diagnose health complications that pose health risks to the vulnerable. This includes annual free screening of Prostate cancer in men and Breast cancer in women. The program also supports in providing medication for the diagnosed health challenges.
