Elementor #3999

In collaboration with the Micro and Small Enterprises Authority (MSEA) Kisii, we spearheaded a transformative sensitization program for the Bomachoge Beekeepers Association in Bomachoge Borabu, Magenche Location.

This initiative aimed to enhance the capacity of the association by expanding their knowledge of the bee value chain beyond honey production.
During the forum, experts from Savannah Honey provided specialized training on the diverse opportunities within apiculture, including the production of ,royal jelly, bee venom, wax, and propolis—high-value products that can significantly boost income for beekeepers.
MSEA, on its part, sensitized the group on its mandate, highlighting how they could leverage its support to scale up their operations. The agency also emphasized the benefits of business formalization, enabling the group to access government interventions, financing, and market linkages.
We reiterated the importance of formalization and group formation, urging members to register and take advantage of available government programs such as KJET and the NYOTA.

As part of our commitment to strengthening the sector, we donated 15 beehives to the group, enhancing their production capacity.
Furthermore, we facilitated a contractual partnership with Savannah Honey to provide continuous training and mentorship, ensuring that the beekeepers gain the necessary skills to commercialize their enterprise effectively.

Beyond this initiative, we have committed to expanding similar sensitization programs across the region. The aim is to foster enterprise growth, create employment, and boost incomes at the grassroots level. This collaboration underscores the critical role of strategic partnerships in empowering local communities and driving sustainable economic development in the region.
